The BBC And Donal MacIntyre Win Libel Case - Press Release It is quite clear that while Mr MacIntyre and the BBC deserve their apology - the residents at the home and their families - who the Police claimed were distressed by the BBC expose - now deserve a full and public apology from the Kent Police. For
the Police to say it was a waste of time investigating abuse of learning
disabled adults when they found five assaults in 21 days of filming
is a shocking state of affairs. The real victims cannot be forgotten
in this and the Kent Police force should apologise to those whose
abuse they so publicly denied. It
comes as no surprise to learn that Donal has contributed all of his
substantial damages award Charities, one of the beneficiaries being the
Malcolm Rowley Trust. |
